Bears can’t end Peterborough jinx!
Redcar SG Petch Bears fell to a 53-39 defeat at Peterborough yesterday evening in Championship action. The meeting started very badly for the Bears, with the first 3 heats giving Peterborough a 5-0, 5-1 and 5-1 and a comfortable early lead.
Ben Barker, outstanding again for the Bears, won heat 7 whilst on a tactical ride to help reduce the deficit and the Bears battled hard for the second half of the meeting to get the score closer. Despite their best efforts, and some great racing, the gap was just too big to overhaul and the Panthers took the spoils again.
